Mystic Wood: new card templates

  1. It is beautiful.

When is the release of the first beta version of your own game (Fantasy Quest)scheduled ?
I should be able to dedicate time for playtesting and previewing your game, since I have almost finished with Harbinger (which was a very big project).
I could provide support through the publication of articles on http://www.latavernedujeu.fr
In the present case of a an international project, I provide both a french and an english version of the documents.
I plan to have spare time after the summer holydays.

  2. Thanks for your kind words, freourslc.

I can't comment to Fantasy Quest's beta release yet as there are quite a few working parts still to mesh together. I also don't want to over-complicate the gameplay, and keeping the maths consistent behind the theme is tricky.

Watch this space for more info and I'll try and do another design article soon. For now there's an article "What is Fantasy Quest?" up here:

It also includes a new card preview...

And thanks for your offer - I'll be relying on you for a French translation! :)

  4. This is some fantastic work. I noticed a few typos, but on the whole, you've done a phenomenal job.

I've been drawing my own version of this game for a few days, but now I've stumbled upon your work I might have to pilfer some of your new card types to expand the base game... And it still won't look as good as yours!

    Truly, beautiful work, well done!

  5. If you could mail the typos I'll see if I can get round to updating them.

  6. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! I have an original edition of the game. Unfortunately a long time ago the cards got lost. So you have resurrected an old favourite! Superb artwork.
Now to find a colour printer to do them justice!
    Did I say thank you?
