A Touch Of Evil Investigation Deck - print ready!

The rules are simple:

Draw an Investigation card at the start of the game and put it into play. When the Shadow Track crosses over into a new section TOWARDS Darkness discard the current Investigation card and draw a new one to replace it.

I have been reading your posts at BGG and was hoping to get a clarification and question answered if possible:

I really like your 'back story' idea. I have yet to play the game (though I do gaze longingly at the wife's wrapped xmas AToE bonanza, heh) - but from what I have read, these are a wonderful way to enhance the early game play.

Unless I am mistaken, each hero starts the game with one Investigation card. At the beginning of the next mystery phase, the hero can either discard their current investigation card and draw anew - or... draw a new investigation and make them cumulative on each new phase?

My second question: Would you suggest printing these out on standard paper and then sleeving them (front and back)?

I have heard of people taking these add-ons up to local Office Max stores (for example) and printing them on heavier duty card stock, but am not sure if the Flying Frog copyright would prove problematic.

Anyways, thanks a ton. You've a lot of talent on the modification side of things.

Hey Mayfly,

Thanks for your kind words. The rules for the Investigation deck are as follows:

“Draw an Investigation card at the start of the game and put it into play. When the Shadow Track crosses over into a new section TOWARDS Darkness discard the current Investigation card and draw a new one to replace it.”

So you only draw one card for the team of heroes at the start of the game, and it only changes when the Shadow Track passes into another Shadow Track stage (20/16/12/8/4) towards Darkness.

I hope that clears things up. Personally I printed them onto A4 sized card and sleeved them. Flying Frog reported my ATOE artscow decks and had them removed so unfortunately I can’t share fanmade decks on artscow or printer studio with you. But if you were to print them at a local store I’m shore even FFP couldn’t stop you.

Cheers!
